The Conflicts Management Unit will be hosting its second Brown Bag Lunch & Learn Discussion on NOVEMBER 11th, "TO ACCEPT OR NOT TO ACCEPT? WHAT IS OUR POLICY ABOUT ACCEPTING "GIFTS" FROM VENDORS, PATIENTS and OTHER GIVERS".  This event is a good opportunity to find out what you can and cannot accept as gifts during this holiday season.  If you missed our first, kick-off discussion group, this one promises to be even better and is open to the entire NYU Langone Medical Center community.  So don't miss out!

TOPIC:             "To Accept or Not To Accept?" What is our Policy about

                                 Accepting "Gifts" from Vendors, Patients and Other 

                                 Givers"

Here are just a few of the topics to be discussed:

  • What does our Policy and the LAW say about accepting "free gifts"?
  • Can you accept invitations to holiday parties from vendors?
  • Is it okay to let a vendor pay for your meal?
  • What kinds are gifts are acceptable from vendors/patients?
  • Is it okay to accept monetary gifts from outside vendors to support an educational event?
 
     

REGISTRATION INFO:  Registration is required for these discussion groups and RSVPs will be accepted via Email only.  Space is limited, so early registration is strongly encouraged.
